I buy the Good Hotel Guide every year, and have to say that this year's selection is better than ever. I've stayed at two new hotels so far, and they've both been superb. The in-depth reviews give you a real sense of what to expect.

Adam Raphael's "Good Hotel Guide 2010 fully upholds the excellent level thay he has maintained for many years. We use it for all trips in this country and greatly regret the passing of the Continental version. The advice is continually updated via readers'experiences and is refreshingly free of input from individual hotels or chains.

The great merit of this guide is that hotels can't pay to get into it. The review relies on reports from people who have stayed at the hotel. Having tried some other guides and been disappointed I wouldn't use any other.
