I have been to so many lovely hotels that we would never, ever have been to if it were not for this guide. The reason it is the best is simple; hotels cannot pay to be in this guide unlike other more glossy, coffee table guides. A recommendation by a visitor is the only way they will get inspected by an 'undercover' inspector from the guide. Simple really isn't it? Forget other guides - trust me, this is the one and only. Its also addictive reading.
