An Irishman from Belfast, he has been a keen follower of the fortunes of his countrymen over the years, from Christy O'Connor through to Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell.

Amazon has most definitely picked a winner with this little gem of a book.There are just so many books available on golf that it is difficult to decide which one to part with your cash for. Well that was up until I saw The Golf Miscellany in Waterstones and after glancing through the book I had no hesitation in buying it. As soon as I got home I read it from cover to cover and was not disappointed. Amazoning value for the price!

John's book is the most comprehensive book I have ever come across on golf. I liked the sections covering each one of the four Majors from the most dramatic events down the years to the Champions.
