There are good self help books and then there are books for the utterly gullible like this book. These books and the books on most Law of Attraction make it sound that no matter how bad your life is you just wish for something really hard and then POOF! it's made manifest with enough visualisation, belief and affirmations.
If your manifestation doesn't happen it's because you didn't do it properly or affirm long enough.
These books are the lazy man's way of escapism and having to deal with themselves and what really needs changing ....living in cuckoo-make-belief-land-by-just-wishing hard enough that anything can happen land is so much easier than going within and facing what needs changing to make actual change happen in one's life. That's hard and THAT does not sell books.
We are made to understand in these books that it's pretty much like going online and ordering something from Argos and getting it delivered in a few days.
It's that easy, and guess what some people buy into that, despite the fact that they miss the obvious....the big fat elephant in the middle of the room!(about that later)
So I conducted a little experiment to see if these books are worth their money (by the way I have never paid for these type of book, I have always got them from the library seeing as in my eyes these books do nothing for people like me that live in the real world).I made a decision to "order" from the universe £5000 within the next 30 days. It had to be an amount I could believe I could get that I would ordinarily not get from any specific source. I went into great detail what I would do with the money and every day I would spend time expectantly thinking about it.I'd really go to town feeling excited about receiving it too. A month later and still no £5k.Hmm...clearly I needed to step up my game.So I did with great intensity.Another month went by and strangely during this time smaller things I had thought of getting I would get or find rather effortlessly.
Then it hit me that I could read all the cosmo ordering books in the world, visualise and affirm all I could and expect what I wanted to manifest with great joy, but if I didn't clear my subsconcious blocks(the big fat elephant in the middle of the room) I would get no where. Affirmations, visualisations etc... ONLY work if your subsconcious mind is in complete congruence with what you're trying to manifest. No amount of affirmations will trump your subconscious belief that you are poor and therefore not worth the money. So all these silly books are unrealistic as they gloss over the most important part about manifesting: you need to clear the cobwebs before you can make the magic happen. That ain't easy if the stronger belief is the negative one and it's subconcious.£5k would be as easy to get within a month as £5 but for that to happen my relationship to it would need to be similar to my relationship to me obtaining £5, which it is not.So that is what needs to be looked at.You change the fundamental way that you look at yourself you automatically change your fate and your choices. This book was overly simplistic, with not much mention that somehow action might have something to do with making a goal into a reality.Whenever I have manifested in my life it has happened effortlessly, almost naturally as if it were the natural progression of what came before it.Read this book if you want a feel good fantasy inspired rhetoric of escapism. If you want real results of really manifesting what you desire in your life, then get a pen and paper close the door and prepare to ask yourself some hard questions. The answers are within, it's just a matter of finding them and they cannot be bought for £7.99(or found in a self help book).
