I laugh just as much now as I did when I was a teenager and saw this the first time. I think Golden Girls helps you think of the elderly and middle aged with less fear to be honest. But all that aside, when you hear the girls deliver their lines like pistols, it's just great fun, good writing and different still from most of the things that are shown these days.
It is a shame and an insult to the Europeans who bought the 3 first seasons, that Disney desided not to release seasons 4 through 7. Yes, of course, the might Euro rules business, but to leave people with nearly half a series like that? Shame!
Good thing then, that Amazon offers its customers the region 1 discs.

I endorse the remarks of another reviewer. I have the first three seasons of the Golden Girls (1 - 3). Are we in Europe (specifically the UK) to be forever denied the remaining sessions of the Golden Girls (i.e. Seasons 4 - 7) in European Regional format 2. We loved the whole series when they were first broadcast here on TV, but what a shame we cannot enjoy seeing them again - and all because of an archaic trade restricting Regional Code system. Come on Disney! The Golden Girls went out on TV screens 20 years ago, there surely can be no earthly reason to restrict world wide distribution any longer! Release them on Regional Format 0 (ZERO) so everyone can enjoy seeing the Golden Girls again in the home.

funny tv episode that i remembered, i am glad it fainally came our in dvd, so i can keep this longer and better quality.

As funny as ever
This is the 6th season and yet it's as funny as ever. The writing and acting never fail for the Golden Girls.
