Manufacturer's Description

On the eve of the Cuban revolution, a major mob meeting in Havana takes a bloody turn. The Don of your family is killed, and you must take the reigns and lead your battered organization. Success breeds opportunity, so when Michael Corleone comes under investigation by a Senate Committee on Organized Crime, the Corleone Family calls upon you to reestablish its operation in New York and expand into a new territory - Miami. Build up your arsenal, build alliances, and make whatever deals you need to as you fight off attacks and strike back at your rivals. I have a friend who works for EA & gets these games a couple of weeks before general release. I had the chance to play a couple of hours over the weekend. Firstly this game is fully compatable with the XBox 360 control Pad. The controls are almost identical to those on the 1st game. The system requirements are quite steep. Vista experience index of 4.1 min & 5.1 reccomended. It made our 260GTX graphics card get quite hot at 1920x1080 but did look great. There are loads of new execution styles and this time you not only improve your own abilities when you gain experience but you can also upgrade the skills of your made men. You have to send guards to protect your businesses which was taken care of automatically in the 1st game. Rival families will try to take businesses back. I think this will be better when I've played a good few hours on it. On the PC there is no auto aim as it was designed for keyboard & mouse. This makes shooting a little more difficult. Maybe there is an auto aim option but I just didn't notice. Anyway. If you liked the first games & you like to movies then you will enjoy this one.

The Godfather 2 is a game that feels very rushed, for example the driving is terrible the cars basically steer like the programmers didnt know what handling characteristics are every single car in the game all drive exactly the same as each other you either go backwards forwards or left and right with no handling whatsoever 60's cars werent this bad, at least they could get their tail out theres none of this in this game, also there are quite a lot of bugs, for example whilst i was outside the airport in New York the whole screen went dark but i could still see that i was in the game all the colours disappeared but i could still play, also the graphics, now im used to playing old games i have quite a few and are used to older graphics and dont expect much, but the graphics in the godfather are very outdated for the graphics requirements the game recommends i dont see why because even on my 2gb ati graphics card they are bad, if you were a fan of the previous Godfather game which was very good i might add then you will probably like this one but you will be disappointed by its bugs and graphics. Buy it if you wish but you will probably be disappointed i know i was thats why this game only gets 3 stars.

sandbox action game thingk gta, cars, troops, gangsters, locations to conquer, this time with a a little specialist troops involved.

yes it's a godfather game based on the movie
sadly from the previous gta style game they went to a multiplayer mash
it isn't bad -it's just smaller and with less content

This is a great improvement on the first game. Trouble is that it's too short and in many ways too easy. It takes place in 3 cities (New York, Miami and Havana) which you can travel between as you unlock them. You follow a fairly loose story as you conqour enemy rackets and crime familys in each city.

About halfway into the game you'll already have a full team of guys with all the skills maxed out, and thus taking over enemy rackets becomes a 5 minute job. That said, the story is quite interesting and there are fair few really fun moments in the game but the sandbox (grand theft auto) style play is greatly limited by the small size of the 3 cities. It maintains the story of the movie without being too involved (like the first one) which is good, but overall I think the story was too short and I don't think I'll reply it for a while.

Graphics and sounds are pretty good, maybe a bit dated but perfectly enjoyable. There is a bit of (in my opinion) pointless nudity at some points and you might start to get bored of your hood's random comments after a while; "check out that peice of tail", "did you get that chick's number last night?" etc.

Since the game's so cheap now it does'nt really matter, but it would probly be better to just rent this one. If not, you'll probly find yourself giving this to a freind once you've finished it. Good game, but nearly no replay value.

Puzo's & Coppola's GODFATHER may be the I-Ching of western men but this installment, like Sollozzo the Turk's proposal, is an infamnia.

EA's pezzonovante, they come not in respect. They come not asking to be our friends. Not once. Even though we keep financing their very existence. They only ask greedily for more.

Like Hyman Roth, EA tries once more to infect our domains with SecuROM RootKits and make us pay again and again for the same game by Limiting its installations. By claiming to fight piracy (ironic already...) EA wants to keeps squeezing its own customers. And they are ready to badmouth and brand as "pirates" anyone who might stand up to their rule.

But just like Don Fanucci, behind the white suit of an ever-menacing EULA hides nothing. Forced to accept an agreement under pain of suffering the financial loss of a worthless non-refundable product nullifies any stipulation in said agreement before any court of law. They only rule on our fear.
But we shall fear no more. Because this is cosa nostra. We have been in PC gaming long before these accountants ruined this beautiful art-form.

Make them an offer they can't refuse: let THIS horses' head soil the silk sheets as EA is slumbering. Eventually they will wake up.
And they will do so screaming.

Gamers, I salut!
