The Glass Painting book is an excellant book to guide you through the various stages in glass painting. The book starts with explaining the materials to use with the basic techniques, and goes on to explain individual projects for you to try - lanterns from jam jars, lightcatchers, mirrors and lots more. The book has many designs which you can use for your own projects too. I started Glass Painting 3 years ago and this was the first book I ever picked up - and going by the way that it is well thumbed - i would say it is the best, most comprehensive introductionary book to glass painting that I have come across.

Glass painting has even been a great hobby for me and when I came across this Book in the Learning days of my Glass Staining course, it sure gave me the boost to push ahead with the messy paints and brushes and the finger cutting edges of the glass! Though the basics of Glass staining was taught to me by my teacher, this wasn't enough as it required lot of dedication, drawing and making sketches and getting aquainted with glass cutting in various shapes n sizes. This book featured individual projects and that was the coolest thing.Inspite of making some frames in the project (a window panel, a wall picturesque frame and small roundshape frames n tea coasters), this book has great project ideas with freehand drawings n learning the basics on own. Easy, step to step guide. this book is a boon for beginners, for sure to take off!

I didn't know anything about painting on glass - it was just an idea - then I bought this book. It's so clear, in easy stages, it gives a really good grounding. It is what it is - a real introduction for beginners to this beguiling art.
