What a great book! I am a total beginner and this book has really helped me to get started... it explains everything in an easy to read and understand format. It helped me not to feel like such a novice when I had my first lesson. I love the illustrations, really funky girlie drawings. Every time I dip into this book I find it hard to put down, I just love it... It makes you want to hop in the car and head for the beach! I can't rate this book highly enough if you are just getting started then this is for you, you won't be dissapointed.

Great Little Book :> 18 Jun 2009
By Kakashi
Format:Paperback
I can say tat I'm a pretty good surfer not amazing but i know what i'm on about.
And I think this book is a little gem. I bought it for a mate because he knows nothing about surfing and I read it before I gave it to him and its very impressive.
Everything is laid out well and explained simply but it isn't patronizing.
Some of it maybe common sense but trust me wen i say most people won't know it.

My only nag but its only a very little one, is that it could explain how breaks and swell works in more detail.
As most surfers know you learn it along the way but if ppl went by the book they would be walking to a flat beach.

Oh and the title needs work cos my mate is a bloke and wasn't too impressed by it :P
