I take my hat off to the record companies for finding and compiling these obscure 60s singles, which would almost certainly not have come to the attention of those of us who were around at the time. This CD comprises 20 tracks of mostly unknown, mostly British, girl singers, with a smattering of better known names, such as Diana Dors, Kiki Dee, Lesley Duncan, The Caravelles - and Luan Peters, who I vividly remember in several pneumatic film roles in the 60s. I didn't know that she also made records under the name of Karol Keyes! The original records seem to be from the Polydor and Fontana labels and they all sound pretty good to me. It's 60s British pop as you would expect it. There's an informative booklet with photos of some of the artists and of the records themselves. I also see it's on the Eclipse label. I remember Eclipse as a budget, easy listening label, so this has to be the best release ever from Eclipse.
