Product Description

In the eighth book of HELL HATH NO FURY, author Troy Taylor continues his series of titles that presents the "Spirits of Victims, Vengeance and Virtue"... a look at the dark side of women from the lingering ghosts of women who kill, have been killed or have left a haunting and indelible mark on our history. Veering between the worlds of the supernatural and true crime, each book will take readers on a horrifying journey in the minds and hearts of darkness.

The story of the “vanishing hitchhiker” – the young woman who mysterious vanishes from the passenger seat of the car after being picked up the side of the road – is a classic American highway legend, but what if you found out that the story has a basis in truth? Archer Avenue on Chicago’s Southwest side has been home to just such a roadside phantom, dubbed “Resurrection Mary” after the cemetery where she vanishes, for nearly eighty years. Since the middle 1930s, people have been picking up this elusive ghost or have been running her over with their cars – only to see her vanish before their eyes. Is she a mere legend, linked to the famous Willowbrook Ballroom? Or is there truth to the tale?

Author Troy Taylor has been fascinated with Mary for most of his life, continuously tracking down stories and sightings and seeking out true accounts of the young women who have been linked to the legend. In this compelling entry in the series, he delves into the many myths and mysteries and reveals the secrets of “Resurrection Mary” and who she was when she was alive. It’s a strange and chilling story and one you don’t want to miss!

I believe that their are ghosts around us, spiritual beings that have not crossed over. The book was a fun read, short stories of urban legends that I've never heard about.
