About the Author

Hugh Lupton, co-founder of the influential 'Company of Storytellers', has been a professional storyteller for the past eighteen years. Previous Barefoot Books include the best selling The Story Tree (2001) and Tales of Wisdom & Wonder (1998). When he isn't performing in festivals around the world, he resides in East Anglia. Diana Mayo graduated from Kingston University with a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration in 1990. She has illustrated a number of children's books, drawing her inspiration from myths and trivia from around the world.
