Book Description

This short story relates to one of a series of mysterious occurrences off the Dorset coast in the early 1980's.

This is a retelling of a conversation held between myself and friend relating to the appearance of an apparition of Submarine M2 that was lost with all hands 50 years earlier. This sighting predated my own (told in The Ghost of Submarine M2 - A Warning from the Dead) by three months.

The final tragic outcome that resulted from my friends encounter could not be predicted at the time. With hindsight, the importance of the warning he received is now tragically obvious and is retold here.

More About the Author

John Dallyn is a Dorset based writer, scientist and engineer. The majority of his life has been dedicated to rational and logical pursuits. But there have been times over the years when events have challenged that rationality.

A few crucial and apparently random events have raised questions about the very basis of what actually is rational and what should be regarded as real. These are questions that can be difficult to confront and often defy an answer. But they are questions that need to be addressed.

3.0 out of 5 stars A WELL TOLD GHOST STORY 14 May 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this - and its well related sister. The ability to tell a good ghost story - and this one is supported by the existence of an actual submarine wreck - is vastly underated. I would love to hear this adpated as a radio drama.

3.0 out of 5 stars Written from an odd viewpoint. 19 July 2013

It's ok I suppose. Written more as a very mini novel would be better represented as a short factual account.
