George Harrison: More Than Meets The Eye.

George Harrison, who first caught the attention of the world as the quiet Beatle, was not merely a guitarist and a singer in the group. From a young age, he was already a talented boy whose fascination with guitars led to a hobby that would sustain his musical capabilities throughout his life. This book will show you how George rose from the confines of Liverpool and how he came out of the shadows of Paul McCartney and John Lennon to be a person of his own.

What's Inside?

Learn about the extraordinary life of ex-Beatle George Harrison and discover:
  • The first guitar George had
  • The Beatles' experiences in Hamburg and why George was deported to Liverpool
  • The record that brought their future manager, Brian Epstein, to them at the Cavern
  • Why George decided to leave the band in its heyday
  • The album that catapulted George into the status as a successful solo artist, and more!

Why Buy Now?

The Beatles won't be complete without George Harrison, that boy who followed the band when it was still the Quarrymen and did not stop until he was accepted into the group as a lead guitarist. Read his life story from this book from the time he began with the Quarrymen to his own recordings following his departure from the band. This is a testimony of someone who had carved his own destiny long after Beatlemania had swept the world.

The kindle e-book arrived without a hitch. For me, it was a great read. Sometimes, it's nice to read a book in a sitting.
2.0 out of 5 stars Appalling number of mistakes and bad grammar 13 Aug 2012

This book, which claims on its cover to be an International Best Seller, is very poor. It is full of errors and bad writing. It reads as if it was written in a foreign language and then badly translated, as with many appliances made overseas.

I was mildly interested in the subject but the appalling writing - and all it needed was a decent proof-reader, which you would think an International Best-selling book could afford! - spoils it.
