Light entertainment 7 April 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
The name obviously implies that this will be a deep and heavy saga of gay life, but actually I found this novel to be easy to get into and absorbing. light-hearted and funny in places, touching on serious issues in others, the collection of gay men around this Edinburgh dining table slowly unravel the stories of their diverse lives, while dealing with some rather more immediate problems. Worth reading but don't expect high drama or stunning insight.

A good read, but... 23 April 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This 'is' absorbing, though for some reason I expected a little more humour interspersed with the drama. I also thought a great deal of names were thrown at you too quickly which made the various 'relationships' confusing in parts. However, it's certainly worth a look.
