Book Description

26 Nov 2012
Tim Vyner travels the world recording sporting events as he sees them: World Cup football, Olympic Games, street soccer in Ghana. As a reportage artist he is most effective with a pen, a sketchbook and a camera on location. His images present a unique view of the passion, atmosphere and participation in live sport. In 2008 he witnessed 24 events in 19 days at the Beijing Olympic Games and in 2012 he was the Olympic artist for The Times newspaper using an iPad on location to draw, record and publish emerging stories as they happened. The following images and words are his record of an amazing summer of sport. This limited edition catalogue has an introduction by Simon Barnes, Chief Sports Correspondent, The Times. And each copy is signed and numbered by the artist Tim Vyner.
