Need a replacement mains charger for your SONY PSP? Don't run out of power with this SONY PSP reaplcement mains charger. This pack contains the mains ac adapter and a UK 3 pin lead. The adapter can be used with any mains lead so is ideal if you are going to be using your PSP abroad, all you need is the country specific mains lead.

Unsafe and not fit for purpose for the following reasons:
1. The mains plug is not compliant with UK standards; it appears to be unfused, or if it is fused the fuse is certainly not serviceable and not declared on the plug. This is a fire hazard since there is likely no shortcircuit protection for the mains cable. Note: The picture shows a UK compliant fused mains plug - the unit does not ship with this!
2. The two way connector on the other end of the mains cable is very dangerous, having no finger protection with almost no recessing of the live parts within the outer plastic). This is not compliant with UK standards and is a severe electrocution hazard.
3. The two male pins on the power supply that should mate with the two way connector are not rigid - when plugging in the connector, the pins get pushed into the body of the power supply (and remain there - they are not spring loaded) instead of standing firm and making the correct connection with the female parts of the two way connector. This is ridiculous, causes intermittent connection which will prematurely age the electronics and is another fire hazard.
4. The units are certainly not of Sony manufacture. I am not against aftermarket products but they must be fit for purpose and should be advertised as COMPATIBLE products, not go masquerading as the genuine article. Note: The picture shows a PSP logo, but the label on the unit simply says "FOR P-SP" (the hyphen is intentional).
However, prompt dispatch was much appreciated, but all to no avail since we cannot use the goods. Clearly I will be returning the goods for full refund.

Product was ok when first purchased, a month later no longer charges unless you hold the two parts of charger together, they don't connect properly and am now asking for replacement/refund.

poor product
charger comes in two parts, has no british standard approval and our one just blew up whilst plugging in tripping the electrics to the house and nearly electrocuting my husband!

Buy with caution
This is a very cheap item that is not worth the money. The pins pushed back when I pushed the power cable in and have not been able to charge my sons psp from it.

After recieving the item it broke shortly after, as the pins inside the power pack that slot into the adaptor got stuck inside the power pack? Now i can't use it.
