4.0 out of 5 stars Easy listening jazz and funky beats 8 April 2012
Format:MP3 Download
'The Futurist' is Dan Ackerman's fourth independent album release. Unlike his third album, 'Tales Out of Night School' (which I also highly recommend), which is blend of melodic jazz tracks, 'The Futurist' is a contrast in style, instead delivering a mixture of jazz rock, bossa and mellow funky beats.

The catchiest track by far is 'I've Got Time', delivering a foot tapping funky beat with melodic overtones, whereas the most chilled out track would be 'Theme from The Futurist'.

'The Futurist' is a more relaxing album than its predecessor and it's perfect for easy listening or to be chilling out too. So, buy the album, lay back, and let it take you on a journey or play it in the background whilst you 'dine' a date or have friends over for a dinner party.
