About the Author
Ian Lawton was born in 1959. In his mid-thirties he became a writer- researcher specializing in ancient history, esoterica and spiritual philosophy. His first two books, Giza: The Truth (1999) and Genesis Unveiled (2003), have sold over 30,000 copies worldwide. In The Book of the Soul (2004) he developed the idea of Rational Spirituality, also establishing himself as one of the world s leading authorities on the interlife. And in The Wisdom of the Soul (2007) he first introduced the idea of the holographic soul. This is a departure from previous books I've read by Ian Lawton in that it is based on material that Ian himself has witnessed being channelled. His credentials as a rational philosopher and painstaking researcher are impeccable, as anyone who has read his previous books will know. His writing never fails to inform and inspire me, and this book is no exception. Right now the merchants of doom and gloom are having a field day with the concept of 2012 being the end of life as we know it. Fortunately this book puts it all neatly into context. It's a fact that we cannot continue to live so far beyond the means of the planet for very much longer. However the message in this book is that it is all part of a deliberate plan, although the eventual path that plan takes is still very much up to us. We retain our free will, and if enough of us can come to our collective senses we do still have time to choose a path that will ensure the survival of our species. And more than just survival, we have an evolutionary leap to look forward to. The time to act is now, and the positive messages in this book could not be more timely. If you're not sure what you should be doing for the best, right now, one first step might be to buy this book. For the first time in my life I feel as though I have at least some grasp of the enormity of the exciting opportunity that lies before us all, thanks to Ian !

I've just finished reading this great little book, and it's a real `must-read' for anyone interested in our spiritual evolution, and `shifts in consciousness' past and future. Compared to other books I've read in this field, this one has several clear advantages: using a `clear channel' medium to talk to several different experts from the spirit world, the authors have developed a fascinating dialogue of hundreds of intelligent questions with concise, well-explained answers from the spirit world. Unlike other channelled books, which can get repetitive, or use obscure or archaic language, this one is well composed and edited and engages the reader from start to finish. I also liked the fact that it's short and pocket-sized, but for only a little book, it packs some punch, with lots of important information in only about 100 pages! Also, it has (for me) been a source of many surprising new insights into our universe, the evolution of humanity, the nature, causes and patterns of major upheavals on our planet, why we have amnesia of past lives, and of course important advice on facing what is in store for us over the next few years! I strongly recommend you to read it!

I found this book fascinating and exciting, overall. The global shift that is due to happen sounds scary if you think of details (eg being killed or losing someone in an environmental catastrophe), but I think the idea is, on a soul level we have all signed up for it so we can handle it. It's apparently like a huge shake-up of the planet and everything on it, and when the dust settles the world will hopefully be working more harmoniously.
There are examples of similar shake-ups in history (going back tens of thousands of years). And there are sketches of how the world could be in the future in terms of economy, sources of energy, the way we will live together, and how humans will be different.
Apparently, in preparation, there have been subtle vibrational changes occurring at a molecular level for the last few decades, and as people are born they are automatically tuned in to the updated vibrations. We can work on 'accepting' new vibrations within and around us as they occur, and alter our outlook on life to prepare ourselves for the changes ahead. There are ideas in the book to suggest how you can start this off now.
I know some people who will question the source of the information in the book, but I found I believed what I was reading. As '2012' predictions go, it is fundamentally optimistic.
