Most people don't know that Paula Yates was an articulate, witty and well-read young lady educated to A Level. She wrote about twelve books on such diverse topics as "Blondes", "Rock Stars in their Underpants" and The Fun Don't Stop which was a sequel to The Fun Starts Here. It is well documented how much she adored her four girls and both "Fun" books are about young children and how to amuse them in an intelligent way based on her own experiences with Fifi, Peaches and Pixie. The Fun Don't Stop is written on a level that most mothers will appreciate. It offers pages and pages of excellent ideas for outings, cookery, crafts etc. Paula even admits that if you are having one of those days where you simply can't apply yourself to organising any amusements for your children then then you should just curl up in front of the fire, cuddle your child, whilst watching tv and tuck into a box of Thornton's Continental Chocolates! Most parents feel inept most of the time but Paula must have got it right a lot of the time because her children appear to be happy and well adjusted despite the emotional traumas they suffered in recent years.

A rare out of print book and well worth treasuring now and for future generations.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough, it is useful for parents of young children, from about crawling age to around ten years old. Inside you will find ideas for activities to do with ones children to entertain and educate them!

I loved all the ideas and little anecdotes, Paula Yates had a very neat turn of phrase, she was educated and articulate. Her ideas are fantastic, both old fashioned and constructive. Refreshing.

One might think that a woman who left four children motherless by succumbing to a heroin overdose (leaving aside that one of those children is the squalid oxygen thief Peaches Geldof) might not be the best person to ask for parenting tips, rip-roaring or otherwise. But there's something deliciously macabre about poring through the jolly family antics of the self-destructive blonde bombshell. Like watching a car set off on a journey, and you know it's going to crash and explode and kill everyone inside and there's nothing you can do about it.

Her dad was Hughie Green, you know. She means this most sincerely, folks.
