5.0 out of 5 stars Ten Years After rock the Reading Festival, 1983 24 July 2014
By Victor Martinez - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I first saw this CD many moons ago but did not purchase because it had the look of a bootleg - and, digital bootlegs are usually horrendous sounding. So, after many years along comes this 2014 "remastered" job, and I took the plunge and preordered it from Amazon UK. The first surprise is the sound quality which is very very good. The source, as it turns out, is from a performance at the Reading Festival in 1983 recorded by the BBC for transmission on their Friday Night Rock Show series. The material has a sharpness that reconfirms this lineups ability to get back together and sound like they've never been apart! The songs have been compacted and sound fresh in their reinterpretation for 1983. All in all an excellent outing for one of the greatest British blues rock bands of all time. A definite must have!!
