I'll start off by saying that I am trained in the biological sciences, I love food and I wanted to lose a bit of weight, not a huge amount, but just that last stubborn bit so I could go down a size to where I was a few years ago, well may be more than a few...I have a real problem when any diet is based on cutting something out: I could never cope with low fat, did better with low carb but I love bread and when the weight snuck back on I just couldn't bear the idea of cutting out potatoes, pasta, rice etc, especially since I cook for other people who had no desire or need to follow me down that particular path. Then I found this book at the local library and was so taken with the advice that I bought the kindle version. This is a sensible approach to simply eating less, with techniques that are based in neuroscience but are easily transferred to the real world.

I have been following this plan for 8 weeks and have lost 13lb without really trying. I have another 28lb to lose and I have no doubt I will achieve it! More importantly I had felt caught up in a sugar trap where my need to snack was out of control; I desperately wanted to cut out snacks, but never thought I would be able to~I cut them out in 3 days! The most fabulous thing that's happened is that for the first time in my life I am really and truly tasting and enjoying every mouthful of my food. I cannot recommend this book highly enough~it's a life changer! Merci Dr. Clower!

Clearly written with clear explanations, as the subject says, it just makes sense. We're looking forward to changing our lives by loving our food and not eating "created" food products. A great buy.
