For those of you who, like me, watched this as a child it really is quite nostalgic and you can't help but love this little piece of your childhood. So maybe you're looking at getting this to pass on to your younger family members; the adorable animal characters could appeal to almost any child but I will put out a little warning: Some viewers have mentioned they found some of the scenes to be a bit violent or cruel. Personally, I don't really remember watching this as a younger viewer and ever finding the scenes cruel or violent especially, more so sad for the loss of a character (but perhaps that was just my perception).
Nevertheless this is a generally heart-warming disney classic full of stories of friendship and perserverance. I loved The Fox And The Hound as a child and, even know, as an adult I love it even more. That's the funny thing about Disney, as a child you often miss the underpinning story so when you watch it back as an adult you notice some of the themes running through that you didn't see before. For this reason, I could watch this movie over and over - therefore, I recommend it to you.
