5.0 out of 5 stars Great ending! 21 May 2013

Awesome! Excellent ending to this series. Hoodwink's story is completed in this book, not without several surprises along the way. All those plot twists are very well done - I did not guess the ending, which I always count as a big plus.

That said, the overall story does not seem to be finished. The crisis that was the focus of the series has been resolved. The future of the people both Inside and Outside is still a big question mark. There is plenty of room for more development of this universe, which I hope means that Isaac Hooke has some plans for that. I enjoyed the whole series very much, and would be happy to read more!

Interesting conclusion to the series. Always fresh and unexpected twists to round out the open characters and not leave any not properly brought to conclusion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better than expected!! 19 May 2013

I thoroughly enjoyed this series! I wasn't sure if the final book would bring in any more excitement, but Isaac Hooke had other ideas. The Forever Gate 5 kept the characters busy --- living, dying, living --- If Hooke writes another series, I will definitely follow it!
5.0 out of 5 stars great read 14 Mar. 2014

This had to be the strangest book I have ever read and I tried to read Kurt Voenngut. But it was so well thought out and well written it was enjoyable to read. The flow and the twist and turns are different. Isaac Hooke has one hell of an imagination, thanks Mr Hooke. I reccomend this book to anyone who just like a good read.
3.0 out of 5 stars Too short! 28 Oct. 2013

I can't review just one of these books. They are too short. In fact, this entire story would've been better if it wasn't chopped up into such short books. Annoying because the flow was chopped a bit too as Hooke attempts to remind us of something from a previous chapter. The story is imaginative, however, and it's a good read. I actually did look forward to picking up each new book.

I was disappointed with the ending. It doesn't make sense. It leaves no "real" future for the human race. I am trying not to give away anything of the story, but all he had to do was add some long-term solution to fixing the water.
