I've just bought a food processor and was looking for a book so that I could get the most out of it rather than have it become an expensive dust collector on the kitchen counter. This is the book I was looking for.

Written in a chatty style, the book starts with some general information about food processors followed by the 'Smart Chart' which details how to process all kinds of foods and includes some very useful tips. Then come the recipes which are well laid out and simple to follow. Lots of them include variations to reduce fat and also to make them suitable for Passover (the author is Jewish) as well as microwave and freezer details. Each chapter begins with hints and tips to bear in mind when using recipes from that chapter.

The Roasted Butternut Squash Soup and Chocolate Chip Cookies have already been a huge hit in my house and I look forward to trying out more of the recipes soon. One caveat - the measurements in this book are the American cup system but there is a section at the front of the book converting cups to metric and imperial weights.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book

Every food processor should come with the Food Processor Bible by Norene Gilletz. Really. I have owned one or another food processor over the past 20 years and yet, until I found this gem of a book, the machine had not earned its space in the kitchen.
So much thought has gone into the comprehensive instructions, details of how to process different foods, precise recipes (many healthy versions), humour and variety. My food processor has a work out nearly every day now.
I totally recommend this book for both new and experienced cooks especially those who have limited time to produce good home-cooked meals. It is in my top five of an embarrassingly large collection of cookery books. Thank you Norene Gilletz!

I've had this book on my wishlist for a year (ever since getting my food processor) and finally bought it last week. I wish I had done so earlier.

Just the tips for processor use alone make it worth its price, but I've tried out some of the recipes and they're fabulous. They do just what they say, which is rare in cookery books.

I think this is going to become a classic in our house, along with Marguerite Patten and Robert Carrier, for good, wholesome food that's easy to prepare.
