The book gets 5 stars for the excellent recipes. The spicing of the food is exquisite and its only a matter fo time before a raft of Moroccan restaurants open in London.
There are a few things you need to do first - blend up some spices, make harissa, preserve some lemons and cook some quince jam. The last is really worth trying as some of the best receipes use quince. There is the usual range of tajines with lamb and vegetable but dishes like the fish soup with harissa are great. Apricots, dates, raisins and olives all feature in recipes and my kid and his friends seem to thoroughly enjoy a completely different taste.
A note to the publishers - the spines of the "Journey for Food Lovers" books are terrible and the covers comes loose when they have been used more than half a dozen times. Sort out the binding or give the purchasers a free tube of glue!
