3.0 out of 5 stars Its a compilation 27 Mar 2008
By Stella
Format:Paperback
The good points about this book are that it is really good value if you haven't already bought any of his books and it is a great diet. It is basically four of his previous books in one. They are:

-The Food Doctor Diet (introduces "the rules" and includes an excellent 7 day kickstart diet)

-The Food Doctor Everyday Diet (I have so many favourite recipes from this book. Really tasty even if you're not on a diet)

-The Food Doctor Everyday Diet Cookbook (more new recipes)

-The Food Doctor Diet Club (a 30 day diet plan. Good if you like your meals planned out for you. I personally wasn't a fan of this one.)

All these books have really good reviews and I have bought them all - which is the problem...

The bad points: IT DOESN'T TELL YOU THAT IT IS BASICALLY A COMPILATION OF THE PREVIOUS FOUR BOOKS.
They really should have made that clear in the title (e.g Best of the Food Doctor Diet; Food Doctor Compilation) or on the cover so that fans of the author didn't feel like they'd been conned. It would easily have deserved 5 stars if this was done.

It is a good diet and they are lovely recipes for dieters or non-dieters, but it only gets 3 stars because the content wasn't clear.

4.0 out of 5 stars First foray 7 Mar 2008
Format:Paperback
This is our first foray into "Food Doctor" world and both my husband and myself have really enjoyed our first few weeks on this plan. We have both lost weight easily and without feeling hungry. Meals have been tasty and interesting. Feels like a 5 star plan - but only gave 4 because this is definately time consuming and the shopping lists led us to buy for the store cupboard - and the week only to find food going off before we got to that recipe! Much more organised now we are on our second -go-round of the 30 day plan and not at all bored.

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointing! 16 Jan 2008
Format:Paperback
I am sooooo disappointed. I am a fan of the food doctor but wanted a new 30 day diet.. with new ideas and new recipes to get my 2008 diet kick-started! This book simply replicates exactly the same diet as in the Food Doctor Diet Club. It even has the same pictures. Don't buy this if you have any of the previous books!

1.0 out of 5 stars unrealistic book
I'm not sure if anyone can stay on this diet. Raw broccoli with tomatoes for lunch is simply a joke. All the meals were the same day after day with no appealing recipes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another "diet" book?
This is not a "quick fix" book, and not really a "diet" book either. Having tried endless diets and slimming clubs, I found this quite inspiring. Read more
