5.0 out of 5 stars First Florilegium of Britain 20 May 2010
By Charles M. Marsteller - Published on Amazon.com
The Marshall Florilegium is the first florilegium of Britain.

Thankfully, King George IV recognized its importance and bought it for the Royal Collection. His successor, Queen Elizabeth II consented to its publication and ordered that it be printed as an official issue of the Royal Collection.

Aside from its historical importance, the Marshall Florilegium is truly a magnificent work of art. If you are selecting one book on botanical art and illustration, this book truly a book to consider.

And finally, a word on the quality of this publication itself by the Royal Collection, this book meets the high expectations one would expect: it is magnificently done.
