This is a must have for the fans and a brilliant introduction to the band for anyone wanting to find out what they are all about. It's interesting to watch the earlier stuff and compare it to the more recent tracks and see how the band have matured (if you can a band like The Lips mature, that is!). My only gripe is about the DVD quality. I have had 3 copies and each one has had the same fault on the menu page (it doesn't work properly). I gave up in the end and just watch it from start to finish. However, from a music point of view it's definately a 5*. Can't wait to see them again in April and hear the new album.

This collection of Flaming Lips videos showcases how their imaginative songs have been put to equally imaginative videos. Featuring 19 videos in full you get a greatest hits of sorts and a great way to see and hear how they have changed through the 13 years featured.

The bunny costumes and bleeding packs featured in the live gigs are found in many of the videos. There is also band comentary on the videos to describe what they all mean.

Some of the videos look dated now, due to the year they were filmed and lack of budget. This adds to the charm though. More recent videos show off a bigger budget but keep the same quirkyness that makes them all a pleasure to watch.

As a fan of the Lips I am biased to love this DVD. However, this is a pretty good package with all their videos up to the first single from At War with the Mystics.

I was most impressed to see the Spongebob Squarepants song on there. Only the Flaming Lips would be asked to contribute a song to a kids film soundtrack and instead of doing something "cool", the song is quite simply about Spongebob and Patrick, no pretense at anything else. As a result it's one of my favourite songs of theirs simply for its boldness.

Delving into the videos, they're of varied quality and none of them are absolute corkers but they're all enjoyable in their own way and certainly fit the music.

Favourites are Do You Realize and When you Smile. The sight of a smiling face blasting down a road at 100mph still makes me chuckle.

Shame though that the Yeah yeah yeah song video is missing but you do get all the vids from Yoshimi and the Soft bulletin but fans of these LP's may baulk at some of the older stuff which is the majority on the DVD. However, they're all great songs, especially the stuff from Clouds taste metallic and singles such as Turn it on and She don't use jelly.

Great stuff but perhaps would benefit an update.
