I was afraid to watch this film as I did ot hear any good reviews, but bad: dull, long, twisted, bring ect. and every time I saw it on a rental- or store shelves, I always still wanted it... Anyway. I was really happy when it turned up on loveFilm!
It is a good film. Cute, fun, light, funny, pink, candy ect. and nothing like bad.
If you like romantic films and like to fly away from reality... This is you evening film with the girls or alone with a glass of wine :D Enjoy!

OK. So perhaps romantic films need to touch a nerve. It was a typically uplifting in a comedic / tragic way. You like the characters. That's a good start. Then it gets subjective. But if you've ever been in love, there will be lots to relate to. It hits on the feel-good formulae without selling out (entirely).

Screw Bridget Jones. Screw Four Weddings. This was a very good analysis of the problems with the modern relationship. Certainly from a bloke's perspective.

I loved it.

really enjoyed this film.
a general feel good movie.
did feel like it went on for a little bit too long. but not too bad
made me really laugh at a few bits with some great humour.
nice to see a few funny sides of sex... without being to OTT.
great cast and scenery.
a girls every dream of being whisked off her feet at a proposal. even if it doesn't all go to plan

The actors are all fine, but, with the exception of Rhys Ifans, they played the same part they usually do. Each word in the script has been used in lots of other scripts about similar people in similar films. There was an inkling throughout that these people have mortgages to pay. I left it for a while as I didn't expect it to be great; I should have watched the thing about polar bears.

Forget other rom coms even if they are good. This film from a male perspective analyses relationships effectively for the modern era. For all the people who have been in love, this film will have loads to relate to.

Plus if you are a fan of Emily Blunt like i am, then it gives another reason why to watch this film

This seemed an extremely long film, for not actually that much happening. I would probably rename it 'The 5 Year Film' as I feel like it took that long to watch it! It wasn't the worst film that I have seen, but it didn't have enough sparkle or storyline for it to last over 2 hours. Disappointing

Pretty generic... It dragged on a bit and although there were some mildly humorous bits I would go as far as to say it was funny. It is entertaining to a degree, but also fairly predictable.

too predicable, too long, too boring, except for Rhys Ifans
