Product Description

Size Name: 9 Ounce

Product Description

The 9 oz Breastflow bottle is ideal for newborns and young infants and includes a Stage 2, medium flow teat. Breastflow is the only feeding system that requires both suction and compression, just like breast feeding. The teat is designed to mimic the breast so baby can latch on and to encourage the same mouth and tongue position as breast feeding. The double teat system requires both suction and compression, just like breast feeding and baby controls the flow of milk. It's the bottle most like breastfeeding. Bisphenol A Free Bottle.

Box Contains

  • 3x 9oz Breastflow Bottle
  • 3x Medium Flow Teat

I have breastfed my baby from birth and have been trying since she was 8wks to get her to take an occaional bottle so my hubby could feed her at times. I spent a small fortune on all different brands with no avail. I bought these bottle after 9wks of trying with other bottles and she took to them almost straight away. On the second attempt, she took 2oz which was a miricale. We are now on day 5 with these bottles and she takes 8oz of expressed breastmlk from the bottle once a day. I would highly reccommend them for mums struggling to get there babies off the breast. They have been my life saver as i go back to work in 4wks and was begining to panic! :)

I used these bottles with my first baby after she refused loads of standard teat bottles. She took to them straight away. The breastflow bottles I used a couple of years ago weren't exactly the same as these bottles as they have now made them bpa free. The old bottles tended to crack after a couple of months use. Lets hope the new bottle material is better. They also tended to leak if you didn't get them just right but it wasn't too much of a problem. The other disadvantage is they tend to be a little big to fit easily in to some sterilisers. Overall though I was very happy with them and have bought the same for my second baby. She has down's syndrome but is breast feeding well and has managed these bottles straight off too.

My baby was breastfed from birth. I introduced a bottle at 10pm and in the middle of the night when he was a week old and was using tommee tippee CTN bottles - no problems. However when he was about 7 weeks old he suddenly rejected the bottles and completely refused to take them - only the breast would do. As i hadn't fed him in the evenings for some time - my milk supply at this time was very low and he was feeding for hours to get what he needed- at this time I was also wanting to increase formula feeds so i was only breastrfeeding him morning and night. We tried everything to try and get him to take the bottle again - my husband tried feeding him with me out of the room, we also tried to refuse to give him the breast - all to no avail. This situation coupled with lack of sleep caused a great deal of stress to me and hubby and a very unhappy bubba!! After breaking down at baby clinic, another mummy recommended i try these bottles and they saved my sanity. Little one took them straight away and got better and better at taking them. He now swaps back and forth with no fuss I've recommeded them to all my friends who are breastfeeding and struggling to wean their babies onto bottles and i.ve recommended them to my health visiting team who had never heard of them before. It's such a shame they are not more widely accessible. I have read lots of reviews for this product, the main criticisms seem to be that they leak (I've had no problems with leakage)they cause the baby to have excess wind and colic (my baby had excess wind and colic even before these bottles - if anything he has improved) and that they are made from cheap plastic (not that i'd noticed).Read more ›

Failure as a product. Very disappointed! Would not recommend - save your time and money. It's very gimmicky and does not live up to its promise. To mimick the breast flow a tear should have a design to make the baby work for it - suck hard and in a certain way using their tongue. Issue with most bottle teats is that milk just flows if only tilt the bottle down, so baby makes minimal effort to feed making breast less appealing to them. Plus re sucking mechanism is different so that can confuse them (only at 1st though). This bottle and teat are misleading an don't do what they promise. There are two teats that makes it look like it's designed to make baby suck as on the breast to actually get milk flowing, but it's just an illusion. If you tilt the bottle down the milk comes out on its own flowing from one tear to another and filling out the larger one. It may give the initial delay in timing of the milk getting to baby's mouth since the 2nd teat is a small barrier and needs to be filled up, but it is only a small Initial delay nothing more, over the period of feeding baby does not need to suck harder or differently to any other bottle. The outer teat has a tiny "nipple" whereas real nipples get elongated and pushed all the way to the back of baby's mouth during breastfeeding. This teat clearly cannot do that. It's messy, leaky an results in a lot if wasted milk. Really frustrating if you are using expressed breast milk - such a waste!! Baby simply stops sucking and gets very irritated when the main bottle is drained but there is still a lot of milk collected in the outer teat, so all that milk is wasted. And like many other reviewers mentioned the bottle just leaks - how hard can it be to design a proper fitting teat? In my opinion, this is just a gimmick and the over- design is there just to provide the appearance but Not the performance. Last point - when I

Measurement is hardly legible, milk leaks out when you shake it to mix formula...! However. My baby loves it and prefers to tommie tippee (its slow flow, hard to get and reminds her of breast i suppose).
