Why would you want to read stories about how other people lost their virginity? Trust me, you do!
This book looks at not only the HOW, WHY and WHEN but interestingly whether they considered it a loss or in fact a gain or introduction to adulthood.
Initially I was shocked at the number of people (including men and those in their 70s and 80s who weren't permitted to discuss such things in their day) willing to share these personal stories but I'm glad they did - it's an eye opener. Despite the amount of sex ed available in schools, none of us really know what we're doing when it's 'the first time'!
This book isn't really about sex, well it is, but there are some really interesting life stories in there which makes it one of those books you'll want to read and recommend.

Great book - thought provoking, touching, sad and entertaining - a must read and highly recommended! Subjects that touch most of us, but that we don't often talk about.

This book contains a unique and surprising collection of stories from a wide range of people that shows, with a focus on virginity loss, how childhood, upbringing and early life experiences can have the most profound effect on how we relate in such differing ways to the same basic needs and instincts that we all have as human beings.
The author does a sterling job of collating these stories with a thoughtful and sensitive narrative that brings much-needed continuity and context to a very varied set of intimate, personal accounts.
Whatever your level of sexual experience, whatever physical or emotional barriers you face, you are guaranteed to find something in this book that will strike a chord and leave you with something to reflect on.
