This was almost as enjoyable as her video account. I found it easy to read with plenty of information. My only criticism is that I became tired of her constant use of the female angle. Ladies don't need to defend their position because men, who look down on them, are fools. Ladies climbed snow gullies on Ben Nevis and to the top of mountains in Switzerland in long skirts well over 100 years ago and that was not easy.

I did enjoy this book as it gives a different light hearted humorous slant on the competitive outdoor pursuit of walking up mountains just because they are a certain height.
Not sure it makes you realise just how hazardous or exhausting these rather long routes that Gray attempts are. I assumed it was going to be a book about lone female walking and her experiences of this which is the reason I bought it - but on most, if not all, of the routes she has a "companion" or several companions.
The photos are really good and probably worth buying the book for.
However a lot of the routes tend to be in in a few limited areas (a lot around Fort William) and to my mind many of them are too touristy ... who wants to climb a mountain with a few hundred others ... not me!
