5.0 out of 5 stars The best X-Files ever 24 Jan 2001
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
I was thrilled when I heard that the latest X-Files three-parter "Biogenesis", "The Sixth Extinction", and "The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati" was coming to video. I was even more thrilled when I'd seen it. I thought it was just fantastic. The scene where the Cigarette Smoking Man looks out of the window and we see the world in ashes and spacecraft flying around was just so eerie and there are loads of other bits that are superb and I don't have room to mention them here. If you are a true X-Files fan you'll get this video as soon as possible if you haven't already seen it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost the best X Files video ever... 19 Jun 2000
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
When I bought and watched One Son, I imagined that there could be no episode better than this. The plot was so exciting and revealing, with so many of the questions answered. This had to be perfection...and then I saw Biogenesis.

This video was so good that it rivalled One Son in almost every way. It didn't answer as many questions as the former, but it did pose entirely new ones: who does Krycek really work for? Did the aliens create life on Earth? Are CSM and Mulder's mum psychic, like Mulder was for a short while? That said, we finally know who Mulder's father is...unless he's lying. And lots of people die.

My all-time favourite scene has to be either when Scully finds the buried craft, or when it disappears, or the vision of the apocalyptic future, or...there are loads!

To round off, these episodes are the joint greatest ever! Keep going with these plotlines!

4.0 out of 5 stars Maybe not the best ever... 16 Mar 2000
By oamaz
Format:VHS Tape
Contrary to the previous reviewer, Biogenesis is probably not the best ever X-files episode (still there are plot gaps, illogical actions, some old questions answered, new enigmas left open), but it is revealing... At least it seems they have finally decided to answer whose son Mulder is (guess 3 times, whose...). But the ardent X-Philes love the series for something different - brilliant emotional interplay between GA and DD, and inexhaustable fantasy of the authors. Go for it...it is there...
