Brilliantly funny, sad, evocative short stories, and as a supply teacher, this book is an essential part of my kit,as I can guarantee one of these tales at the end of the afternoon will have any group of junior children riveted. Special favourites are "Balaclava Boy" and the title story.

boys 30 Oct 2000
Format:Paperback
Boys do not read for fun like girls; this is probably true. Give this to your boys, read it to them and enjoy them enjoyoing fiction. Only the best quality writing will work and there is nothing better than this modern classic.
