I know everyone focuses more on the history but really it's all about the music, and like "The War Of Art" this delivers.
You can tell that the music has evolved from the last album and they have matured with the song writing, probably due to their personal experiences and problems with the band and label.
This was worth the wait oh so much.
Here is a summary of the songs -
1.Loyalty : The first single off the album and a hell raising opening to the album which sets the perfect tone.
2.Pledge Allegiance : This song is a fast paced juggernaut of addictive riffs and a crunching chorus with amazing samples which makes you want to "March!" with Cameron (vocalist).
3.Dirty : Starts off rocking and leads into an amazing vocal perfomance from Cameron. The Chorus sounds abit like MuDvAyNe with the "Dirty,D-D-Dirty,Dirty!"
4.Ridicule : One of the best songs off the album, a slow emotional song which occasionaly boasts a fast paced agressive riffs and a emotional chorus. The guitars and lyrics really shine in this song.
5.Take What I've Taken : A bizzare "That made me busy" sample leads into this slow, pounding track which hits with a heavy chorus and builds into a climax of vocals, guitars and samples.
6.Leave Me Alone : Maybe the weakest song on the album, but still amazing, this is a fast, heavy addictive scream song which is the centre of the album.
7.Walk Away : The guitars in this song shine away as the addicitive Chorus tells us to "Walk Awayyyy!". Amazing. The drums shine in this album, and it seems to me the drummer is a million times better this album and shines like a diamond all the way through.
8.Erratic : This shows off a evil sounding intro which slams into an amazing solo and heavy thundering riffage chorus with screaming vocals.

American Head Charge are a much overlooked and underrated band, who never fully got as big as it seemed they were supposed to, and never lived up to their full potential. If you are a fan of the heavier and more tasteful bands to arise during the Nu Metal era, then American Head Charge are definitely a band you should investigate.

Their second album `The Feeding,' came out in 2005, four years after their debut album `The War Of Art,' and featured the tracks `Loyalty,' and `Cowards,' both of which had music videos at the time.

While The Feeding could not fully live up to its predecessor in terms of power, impact and memorable songwriting; it did surpass it in other areas such as clarity, focus and was much more succinct than The War Of Art, as well as having a better production job.

Standout tracks include the astounding single `Loyalty,' which is one of the band's greatest moments, as well as `Pledge Allegiance,' `Dirty,' and `Take What I've Taken,' all of which are fine examples of the band's industrial tinged mixture of ferocity and melody.

On The Feeding, the band's influences were less audibly on their sleeves, and you can't so much pick out individual bits that sound like Ministry, early Deftones or whoever, the band have more thoroughly developed their own style and refined the formula they started years before.

While `The Feeding,' may have come a little too late at the tale end of a dying scene, it is still a superb album to listen to that on its own merits deserves to be thought of more favourably than just as the final album from a band that missed its window.

If you like American Head Charge, pick up a copy without hesitation, the album is a real grower. Now with the band finally reunited and creating new music, this is an excellent and overlooked record to revisit.

As ever the music headcharge put out is excellent, and they're looking to make a new album but need the funds. Google their indiegogo campaign for info and spread the news
I could seriously listen to this cd all day

The second release from the incomparable American Head Charge and they still pack one hell of a punch. I can honestly say that this is the best album I have ever bought. A "tour de force" of rage and agressive guitar riffs, with unexpexted melodies and stunning vocals. This band will make your ears bleed, and the best part? The album never gets old.

You can listen to this as much as you want and still find it rockable. A triumph for Metal.
