The style of the book is bright and engaging, and gives the impression that these are ordinary people engaging in a diet which they enjoy and which works for them.
If you are interested in this diet, there is no better way of seeing what's involved and the results you can expect.
Written in an engaging, personal style, so you feel like you actually know Clive and Mags, the book is full of recipes and tips which make a diet-averse soul like myself feel that this one is do-able and indeed worth trying. The emphasis is on wider health rather than emergency, post-Christmas weight loss, and recipes like mushroom and potato stroganoff and sweet potato casserole sound tempting rather than an act of deprivation. So, for some inspiration along with a tried-and-tested approach, you could do a lot worse than spend your £2.05 on this one.
Mags and Clive's refreshing approach to a dieting book (if you want to call it that) is really easy to understand and follow, what more could you want. If you want a book that explains why fasting works, then this isn't it. But those types of books, in my experience, are the ones left on the shelf gathering dust after the initial enthusiasm of buying them. Finally, as a self confessed kitchen-o-phobe, the suggested menus and instructions on how to make are an added bonus.

These were not what I expected to give to clients on the 5/2 diet. Very amateurish and brief so I returned all 5 ordered.Published 18 months ago by Mrs. A.Parker
This is what I was looking for. No boring prologues about the mechanics of the diet, just an introduction into why the couple embarked on the diet, and their success. Read morePublished on 21 Nov. 2013 by beejaye
It has real good advise from people who have made it work. It doesn't work for everyone though but helps you realise how unhealthy a diet I hadPublished on 15 Aug. 2013 by Mrs MJ Mount
An account of the 5:2 diet from the personal experience of an 'average' couple. A no-nonsense 'leaflet' which was helpful up to a point but was really too brief overall. Read morePublished on 7 May 2013 by Stephen Jm Browne
Not sure what I expected but in all honesty the contents of the book contained very little information over and above what I already had. Read morePublished on 3 May 2013 by Amazon Customer

I was really hoping for some good recipes for fasting days and maybe some for non fasting days that would be really healthy. I didn't feel this did the job for me!Published on 15 April 2013 by Julia Short
The Feast and Fast diet has certainly altered the dieting landscape because it is simple and also has a covert motivator, which is that on fasting days one is surprised how little... Read morePublished on 31 Mar. 2013 by J. S. Burnett
Read it in one sitting. It gave me a good overview of the challenges and impact of this approach. Left me knowing exactly what to do if I decided to try it out. Read morePublished on 25 Mar. 2013 by J G EVANS
