Can't help thinking that Anthony H. Wilson missed a trick when he let Blurt slip through his fingers ... the four tracks here from the "A Factory Quartet " double 12" still sound great, "Some Come" being a personal favourite. The live debut "In Berlin" was slated to appear on Factory too, but was eventually released elsewhere - it's a wonderful album containing seminal versions of such Blurt classics as "Get", "Puppeteer" and "Cherry Blossom Polish".
LTM have put together a very nice CD reissue, complete with liner notes by Factory obsessive James Nice and interesting archive material.
Buy it and make Ted Milton smile.

Post Punk Fusion 11 Feb 2010

Blurt is a mind blower! I have never heard anything like them before or since. Perhaps a bit too exisstential for some, but the sounds of Blurt are innovative and unique. I recommend it highly for those who crave the unusual!

Brilliant Chaos! 14 July 2011
By LIF - Published on Amazon.com

Burt is NOT for the faint at heart. This collection consists of the LIVE IN BERLIN release plus some additional studio tracks. The live material is a rare glimpse of Blurt at their best.

Wild drumming, steady as a rock rhythm guitar, unorthodox sax squeals & meanderings with a top off of near maniacally frenetic voice bursts. The sum of the parts will definitely leave you with a "what the hell is this?!?!?!" state of mind.

Some titles include "My mother was an friend of the enemy of the people", "Cherry Blossom Polish", & "Puppeteers of the world unite". And the titles do give a glimpse of what the detail of the lyrics are.

Nutshell point of view, this is a mix of Rock, Funk, Jazz, Alt. For those with eclectic tastes give is a spin and let the brilliant chaos wash over you. It's one of the most refreshing oddities ever unleashed.

Sadly one of their best singles, "The Fish Needs A Bike" isn't on here. You might want to check that out too.
