Like many people in the UK I fell in love with The K factor. Like many knitters I kept saying it would be great if I could make my own 'Knitted Character' or 'Knitted Simon Cowell'. A few of the characters I did recognise from popular patterns already out there, but many more I didn't. The series came and went and no book came out, so I figured I was going to have to make up my own 'Knitted Harry Hill' et al. And then a phone call from a friend - "Hey, the K Factor now have a pattern book out!" I got my mitts on a copy and even if you never knit a single character from the featured patterns (made up of K Factor winners, judges, Harrys and some key/characters from some of the events) the book is a fun read! On a practical note, the patterns are clear, the quality of the book and photographs is excellent, it is reasonably priced considering you get several patterns and The K Factor Story in one book and it is a neat size so can easily be popped into any standard knitting bag or workbox. Definitely my favourite purchase of 2011 so far!
