I have not read poetry since my school days but found this book absolutley delightful. It truly is a gem with great classics like Shakespeare's sonnets, Keats and Yates. It is also a great introduction to modern poetry too. I really liked John Fuller's poems (particularly Valentine) and will definetly read more of his work in the future. I highly recommend this book and it has definetly recaptured my love of poetry.

Upon receiving my order I opened it up immediately and began to flick through the poems. Of only the few i read, I found them incredible. I got more and more into the book and kept finding gems of poems. I'm glad I had to purchase this book for my englsih lessons. I'm enjoying it thoroughly and think I always will.

I loved this collection, its real mix of international, old and modern poems. Very accesable. Well worth the money Its in short collections by authors and so you can read it as chapters or cover to cover, either way its definatly worth a read. I know I will re-read this volume for years to come
