Being an architecture student means reading as much as you possibly can!
This book is short and incredibly well researched, with images helping to support the text. The book is separated into 4 parts and then smaller movements and elements of each of those large strands which have been selected to show the evolution of architecture during the previous century.
Although Im not an expert on this, I did feel that I was being exposed to a wide variety of global ideas moving through and developing as the book progresses. Although complex at times the book is essential for understanding the 20th century for those who were not there to experience everything it had to offer in terms of architecture, which is now the basis upon which every movement and every building is built upon and judged by.
Very thorough and interesting account!
