2.0 out of 5 stars Kiss A*s 10 July 2013
By Kay
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book basically teaches you to drop your entire personal life and completely bend over backwards for your boss, in exchange for the 'perks' you can get. If your salary is good and you dont mind being disturb at all times of the day for all manner of things (your a PA, not a slave) then i recommend that you follow this book.
Myself i didnt appreciate the nature in which it was written or the advice it gave.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Bit Basic 30 July 2013
By Aitch
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This short book contains very basic information, not the advanced help and tips I was hoping for. Not worth buying unless you are completely new to this area of work. It also focusses on celebrity PAs, not executive/ business based PAs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Common sense stuff - there are much better books out there! 25 Jun 2011
By Melissa - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I purchased this book after reading the positive reviews on this site. After reading it, I was highly disappointed. The material is common sense and it is mostly rambling rather than being informative. I read the book in a day. The font was unusually big for an adult book with triple spaces between paragraphs and grammatical errors. Moreover, while reading another book that was much better on this subject and published a few years before this book, I noticed there were certain things from "The Essential Handbook for Personal Assistant" that were in that book, which raised further suspicions. I only got one thing out of this book, which was a list of books (which are much better than this one) on this topic. Believe me when I say that there are much better books out there. I truly wonder whether the positive reviews are genuine or were completed by different Amazon accounts from the same person.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Book is a Assistant's Assistant 30 Mar 2009
By B. C. Swerdlick - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I've been working as a Personal Assistant for about 3 years now and this book has some really good information that I never had before. I have to say that the job search section was a little weak and that I found other sources that have better search ideas but other than that this book is chocked full of good stuff.

Even the downloadable templates proved very useful. I think the book is well thought out and I appreciate the work that went into the extra download tools. I'd recommend this book for people new to personal assisting but I also got a lot out of it and have been doing this a while now. Good stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Useful 27 May 2009
By Suzanne - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I have known Craig over the years in the industry, as he is and has been a constantly working and well-connected personal assistant in the biz. So I was THRILLED to hear he finally wrote down all his secrets in a book to help others! Few people have worked as much as this guy and not been chewed up and spit out, so obviously he has been doing something right. As a working assistant myself, I am thrilled to get the tips and inside scoop from him as I am transitioning from an office assistant to personal. I cannot wait to apply all of his helpful advice to my new gig! This book is definitely worth a read to anyone trying to keep alive and happy in this job field!
