Essential handbook of eating disorders 19 Aug 2005
By Joav Merrick - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This essential handbook is a shorter version of the "Handbook of eating disorders" with 14 re-written chapters from that original textbook created to honour the retirement of professor Gerald Russell, a pioneer in this field of work.
The average prevalence rate for anorexia nervosa is 0.3% and for bulimia nervosa 1% in young females, while the overall prevalence of obesity is in the 5-10% range.
In this handbook you will find extensive researched chapters from authoritative contributors with relevant references on the topics of epidemiology, medical complications, family aspects, assessment, treatment models, drug treament and both day and in-patient treatment.
An essential tool for professionals working in the area of eating disorders.
