Eric, who comments on this disc below, submitted his comments before this disc was released so can't have heard it. I, however, have bought it and listened to it today and am completely enthralled. Jeremy Limb has produced a moving and sensitive account of Ludovico Einaudi's most famous works and it is a pleasure to hear an alternative approach to the great man's music. Einaudi is an astonishing composer but (if we're honest) not a world-class pianist and this CD combines the best of both worlds: great composer & great pianist. Incidentally, it's a double album and costs less than a single album of Einaudi's own performances. Even if you end up sticking with Einaudi's own recordings, this is one well worth checking out.

I disagree with Eric. The title does not imply in any way that it is played by Einaudi. The name of the performer is clearly written underneath the name of the composer. And anyway, who cares? Is Ludovico Einaudi the greatest pianist in the world? I don't think so. He wrote some nice tunes and now we have an opportunity to buy most of them on two cd's for the price of one played by a fine pianist. It's a bargain! I already downloaded the album from the Quartz web site and I am really enjoying it. In fact , I want to hear more from Jeremy Limb!

[Sorry for my poor English]
This album is not bad, but the tracks are too similar to the arrangements of Einaudi. I was expecting a reinterpretation, while listening
this versione you get the impression that the effort of Limb has been to sound more similar to the original author. I exepected that Limb adds something more personal, a new interpretation.
Despite this it's not unpleasant to listen to, but it don't have the same character and emotion of the original tracks.

I'm really pleased with this CD. The music is familiar, easy to listen to and to play in the background while working.
