I'm familiar with a few of these authors, and that was enough for me to take a small leap of faith. I've not been disappointed;
The audio version of this collection is fantastic. Exceptionally well narrated, masterfully written and fully engrossing.

The fact that this is written by a variety of authors keeps the narration fresh and interesting for me and the stories themselves are engaging and unsettlingly feasible, exactly what any apocalypse fan wants.

I have no hesitation recomminding this to anyone with even a passing interest.

The first five or so stories didn't grab me at all, then the quality picked up. The theme of apocalypse made it feel like a pick and mix of ways humanity might be nearly destroyed and this diminished the experience for me. Perhaps if I'd read one story and left a long interval before the next it might have worked better for me, but I found I couldn't engage with the horrors of each situation afresh and started to switch off to it. I won't be buying the next two books.

I will admit that I got this on the strength of both Hugh Howey and Scott Sigler being authors of 2 of the stories but actually pretty much all the rest of the stories are great too. i skipped a couple as they weren't my style or didn't interest me but in a book that features so many stories and authors I think that was bound to happen.

Overall loved it and can't wait of for the next one to find out what happens in the stories.

I bought the 'End is Nigh' audiobook in May 2014 and I love going back to listen to it or parts of it - more than I have with any audiobook.

Such a great collection of writers, stories and readers - I simply love this anthology and recommend it to anyone.

The 'End is now' audiobook, should be out soon!

Excellent and often surprising selection of short stories by various authors looking towards the coming of the end. Would recommend not least because it shows how differently eachbwriter interpreted the invitation to write a piece for this book. The accompanying audio book is also most enjoyable.

Loved the breadth of subjects and tones in the stories in the book. Each one felt distinct, original and, in my opinion, brilliantly written. Great way to discover new authors. Strongly recommend for any sci-fi or dystopia fans

Just the best reads, can't and won't pick out any single writer, all the stories left me wanting more, to know what happens next, waiting and longing for the next instalment.
