Disappointing 12 April 2005
By C. C. Chivers VINE™ VOICE
Format:Hardcover
This was nothing like what I expected it to be. It is very thin which means it can not possibly cover very much. It may be suitable for either someone who is not going to take a deep interest in sewing or an expert who merely needs a reference. If you want a real Encyclopedia I recommend the Reader's Digest 'New complete guide to sewing.'

Bit disappointing 26 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback
The Encyclopedia of Sewing Techniques: A Comprehensive Visual Directory of Over 250 Sewing Techniques for Fashion and Home Furnishing

I found this book a bit disappointing in that although a lot of subjects were covered there were no photos and nothing was covered in real depth. I would recommend a beginner to buy Singer Complete Guide to Sewing.
