Good but less than expected 4 Feb 2009

It's not a bad choice but the song versions chosen for this CD are not exactly the best. If you want a really great collection of Makeba's songs go for "Africa"

Miriam Makeba Her Essential Recordings 9 April 2009

This is the definitive Makeba disc. Her whole range is here from traditional Zulu/Xhosa across Africa to the American Night Club. Simply brilliant and a great delight.

This cd is essential for the ones who enjoy African music. She has one of the greatest voices in the world and the music is fantastic!
