Product Description

Product Description

If you said to someone 'I'm hurt', their automatic reaction would be to call a doctor. But if you were referring to an emotional injury, what then? We have spent years searching for medical answers to our physical pain, yet when it comes to psychological injuries the solutions are much less evident.

Gael Lindenfield has suffered her own share of personal tragedy and this led her to develop her own methods for overcoming many different types of hurt. She discovered that there are seven stages to recovery, and these have been proven in their effectiveness not only by Gael herself, but by the many clients she has helped. The treatment will allow you to move on and develop a coping toolkit for any time of loss or hurt, however great or small.

About the Author

Gael Lindenfield has been a therapist and course leader for over thirty years, and is the internationally bestselling author of nineteen groundbreaking books on confidence building, assertiveness and managing feelings. She currently lives in central London, England and Southern Spain.

Is there no end to Gael's wisdom? I make this her 20th book and it's yet another excellent read. Brilliantly observed and sensitively written, The Emotional Healing Strategy is a must-read for anyone wishing to move forward to a brighter future. Whether you're struggling to get over a recent death, trying to move on from a failed relationship or still being niggled by a nasty comment someone made about you 10 years ago, this book provides the tools to help you face your future with clarity and a sense of peace. Fantastic.

Emotional Healing 8 Jun 2008
Format:Paperback
`Doctors are trained in hospital medicine to make sense of patients'

stories to come to a diagnosis. But if, for example, a heart

specialist meets a patient for whom a cardiological cause cannot

be found, it is time-honoured practice to refer back to their GP.

This book describes a useful way for GPs to help patients who

have had an emotional experience that is affecting their lives. It

gives a structure for the path to recovery that the patient and

GP can discuss and use. I shall be recommending The Emotional

Healing Strategy to my patients. Gael's use of her own experiences

and strategies for coping will give a lot of readers hope and ideas

for their own future recovery'

Incredibly Helpful... 13 Jun 2008
By Oscar
Format:Paperback
I've got to admit - I'm not usually a fan of these kind of books but Gael has transformed aspects of my thinking. This book is well thought out and brilliantly written. I was engrossed from cover to cover and find that Gael manages to deal with fairly complex issues in an easy to understand manner, whilst (most importantly!) still keeping the reading interesting. This is the first book of Gael's I have read but I am working my way through the rest of the collection now.
