5.0 out of 5 stars Emma Grady Trilogy 20 April 2009
Format:Paperback
Absolutely excellent book.I didn't want to put it down.Apart from being a great read you learn some social history too. Easy style and captivating story full of trials and tribulations for Emma and the people who surround her.She experiences the highs and lows of two completely different worlds but is never bitter - only determined that she will survive at all cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compelling and heartfelt read 22 Jun 2009
Format:Paperback
I was given this book by a friend and was initially reluctant to read it since i tend to prefer more modern reads. However, this is probably one of my favourite books now. The story is completely heartfelt and dramatic, with many endearing characters. I was torn between not wanting to put it down, and not wanting to pick it up because i didn't want it to end. The only slight criticism i have is that the author is a bit over descriptive at times and tends to repeat some of the things that have happened earlier in the story. Definately reccommend it though!
