Product Description

Platform: PC | Edition: Bloodmoon Expansion Pack

The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon is the second expansion of the RPG-of-the-Year, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where the Empire is establishing a new mining colony--a venture being threatened by the prophecy of the Bloodmoon and rumours of werewolves.

Your journey north from Vvardenfell by ship will bring you to a whole new world, where the ashlands and rainy coasts of Morrowind give way to forests and hills covered with snow and ice. In the huge wilderness of Solstheim you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions and wolves, to name just a few.

In Bloodmoon you'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up a whole new style of gameplay.

4.0 out of 5 stars Absorbing Yes Very 26 Jun 2003

Platform for Display:PC|Edition:Bloodmoon Expansion Pack
When I played the original Elder Scrolls III Morrowind I was amazed it was the sort of thing that could take me to another world and was just the thing I needed after a hard days work this Add on Pack for Elder Scrolls III Morrowind delivers more of the same adding more great depth to an already great game.
These types of games don’t come around too often, Games developers now usually go for the easy option of creating a game with 10 hours playability maybe even less for the Advanced gamer. Then releasing another 5-6 hours in a Add-on Pack Well don’t put this game into that category Bethseda softworks should gain no end of respect for this series
Those of you that remember roaming the dusty barren mountains in the original will be glad to here that this add on pack adds snowy Capped Mountains and Fresh Pine forests making this whole island seem a nicer place...
Well don’t think that this time instead of the usual Cliff racers and Bugs roaming the island Blood moon now adds Bears, Wolves and aggressive Nords who Inhabit the North end of the island.
The new Island has its own Storyline from saving a Mining Colony from closure with hard work to investigating the ancient curse that plague’s the island. This island will give you lots to explode and a lot to do it will give you many more hours of enjoyment and will rebirth the world of Morrowind to you
Overall Much of the game pay mechanics still stay the same “Why fix something that is not broken” some say, some battles can get a little linear but don’t they in all games. Bloodmoon is engrossing just as much as Morrowind itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks good, but tough... 29 Sep 2003
By A Customer
Platform for Display:PC|Edition:Bloodmoon Expansion Pack
I LOVE Morrowind, and was delighted when I got this expansion pack, since it would add a huge amount to an already superb game.
Therefore I packed my (reasonably strong - level 30) character off there as quickly as possible to have a look round.
I quickly came back again, since I knew I wouldn't last very long - in my very first fight on the island (against some green woman with long finger nails) I was a bit put out to kill her only for her to come back to life over and over again. I then tried to run away and found she could move quicker than me so kept hitting me with my back turned. In the end I had to jump into the sea, swim round to the fort (she followed) and I let the soldiers finish her off. In short, don't go there unless you're EXTREMELY powerful.
A plus side is that the fort is chock full of things you can steal and sell for a nice little profit on the mainland.
So in summary - from what little I've seen it looks like a really good expansion pack, but if you want to last past your first fight you'll need to be tough...

5.0 out of 5 stars The best continuing series 16 July 2003

Platform for Display:PC|Edition:Bloodmoon Expansion Pack
This is the second expansion to the best PC game ever made, Morrowind, this game is so free it makes your head spin. You go where you want when you want whether you can get there is only dependant on your skill. And you don’t have to go through the quests to level up. I was playing the first one for hours before I even started the main quest to beat the first one. The map is so huge its near imposable to see everything. The first game, which takes place on one huge island, is also the setting for the second one with a few modifications but for this one they added a whole new island. This one has what the first two didn’t, werewolves, and the ability to become infected with this disease and still be able to go through the game as one. Without a doubt this game, and its predecessors, are the best first person RPG’s ever made
It’s a definite get.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bloodmoon the last expansion pack? 27 Jun 2004
By A Customer
Platform for Display:PC|Edition:Bloodmoon Expansion Pack
As other reviewers have said, you need to be high level to survive on this island.. you are under constant threat of attack whilst out in its wilderness (some things being as much of a pain as the cliffracers in the original).
The weather is very atmospheric and there are some side quests but as with tribunal I felt a little let down by it.
None of the packs are as good as Morrowind itself with its huge amount of side quests and politics.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great addition to Morrowind. 27 Sep 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Obviously you need to have the original game (Morrowind) but this adds a hefty slice more to it. This addition can be played at any time and gives some great weapons and armour to the bold and daring. (No spoilers from me).
Once installed thats it, pack it away on your shelf till you need it for another P.C.
I would humbly suggest getting the "Tribunal" add on also, that way you will have everything installed to get any of the online extras that are available....and some of those are equally as good as the official releases.
