'At last, a guru for the impatient'

Praise from some of Gurmukh’s students:
‘What she does is Kundalini yoga – It’s better for me than Prozac’
Courtney Love

‘Gurmukh’s unique ability to combine childlike enthusiasm, technical expertise and ancient wisdom is perfect for the beginner, and even people who have practised yoga for years.’
David Duchovny

Product Description

California’s ‘Guru to the Stars’ – her clients include Madonna, Cindy Crawford, Courtney Love and David Duchovny – distills her 30 years of experience into this simple guide to the yogic approach to life, showing you how to restore balance and serenity to your life.

Gurmurkh is the internationally renowned teacher of Kundalini yoga and meditation. In this, her first book, she distills the wisdom of her 30 years of instruction into a simple guide to living healthily within our bodies, peacefully within our minds, and in true harmony with our souls.
She guides us through the 7 chakras, the areas of the body that physically house what she calls the Eight Human Talents – Faith, Intuition, Truth, Gratitude, Commitment, Creativity and Forgiveness. (The eighth human talent being the aura.) She teaches us how to develop each of them. She shows how in three minutes a day – with no special equipment – you can nurture each area and its corresponding ‘talent’.
Kundalini Yoga is on the leading edge of the Mind Body and Spirit area – dealing with the subtle body and chakras. Readers of The Anatomy of The Spirit by Caroline Myss will find The Eight Human Talents much more fascinating and practical.

LOVE IT! 1 Aug 2011
Format:Paperback
As soon as I had finished reading this book, I wanted to start reading it all over again. It's inspirational. There's so much practical advice to help with everyday issues. I loved all the anecdotes too. Highly recommend it and ideal for the beginner yogi.
